Jon Queen is an investment and trading specialist who has worked in various fields such as financial analysis, financial modeling, venture capital, project finance, investment banking, structured products, commodities, carbon credits, carbon finance, carbon trading, and renewable energy. He has worked with two top Kyiv-based investment banks as their Managing Director and Head of International Sales. Previously he also worked as a licensed securities representative at John Hancock Financial Services and a lawyer at Latham & Watkins LLP. Jon Queen attended Cornell University, graduating as an honor student with a degree in Economics and later obtained a Juris Doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he served on the Journal For International Economic Law. At The Wharton School, Mr. Queen completed a Cross-Disciplinary Study Program - Business and Public Policy before he obtained his MBA from Kyiv School of Economics. At present, Mr. Queen is working with Amatex Capital, a Central European private equity firm focusing on the gas and oil production sectors, agriculture, production of value-added products, retail, and commercial real estate. Recently, Amatex partnered with Texas Shale Oil International Corporation to develop opportunities in Ukraine that offer serious value enhancement to the business platform. The partnership combines some of Ukraine’s specialists in the oil and gas sector who have worked in technical field capacities for certain major oil and gas companies.
